Leadership in action 💙 What an incredible night at Showcasing YoCo. From celebrating the legacy of Joan Mummert as this year’s ATHENA Award recipient to watching rising leader Gina Spellman take home the Ignite Young Professionals Award, it was a true full circle moment. And a special shoutout to Jody Keller, longtime Mentorship York mentor, for being recognized with the White Rose Award. So proud to have such strong, impactful women as part of the LY family✨

Who doesn’t love pretzels?🥨 One of our most fun special tours each year is visiting @worldsbestpretzels, where participants got a behind the scenes look at this growing York County business, tried their hand at pretzel making, and of course sampled some delicious treats. Huge thanks to Philip and the team for welcoming us in and sending us home with goodies like salts and mustards. If you haven’t checked them out yet, we highly recommend it!

Strong nonprofits start with strong leadership and strong partnerships🤝 During session three of NLA participants explored the critical relationship between a CEO and their board, including roles, responsibilities, and strategies for building effective partnerships. A special thank you to Larry Richardson, recently retired President and CEO of @rosesymca, for sharing his decades of nonprofit leadership experience and insights.

Leaders learning about the community they serve🤝 Our Executive Connections class gathered at the York County History Center for session two, connecting with local leaders and exploring the people, organizations, and history that shape York County. A huge thank you to our panelists Frank Countess, Lizaida Morales, and Alice Muldrow, moderated by Dr. Larry Walthour, and to Benjamin Neely for sharing York County’s story. 🗝

10 Years of Leadership & Impact✨ This year we’re celebrating Wilda Reahm and Kraig Hursh as they mark 10 years on staff at Leadership York. Over the last decade, their leadership and passion have helped shape leaders across York County. To celebrate, we’ll be sharing a short video series where Wilda and Kraig reflect on their favorite memories and moments from the past ten years. Stay tuned! Session #2 of All on Board brought thoughtful and engaging conversation about what it means to serve effectively as a nonprofit board member. With only four sessions in the program, each discussion is packed with meaningful insights. This session focused on fiduciary responsibilities, collective board roles, board structures, and the relationship between boards and staff. As we welcome the first day of spring, it feels like the perfect season for fresh ideas and leadership growth!🌱
