Leadership York alumni are more than graduates—they are changemakers, advocates, and visionaries. Through their commitment to service and passion for progress, they shape a brighter future for York County and beyond. These awards celebrate the ripple effect of their leadership—the lives they’ve touched, the causes they’ve championed, and the legacy they continue to build in our community.

Outstanding Alumnus of the Year

Each year, Leadership York recognizes one outstanding alumnus for their contribution to the greater good in our community. Graduates from any of Leadership York's programs are eligible.

Please consider nominating a fellow Leadership York class member or any LY alumni for the Outstanding Alumnus of the Year Award. This award is designed to recognize exceptional graduates from our programs. Submissions are collected year-round.

Nominees should meet the following criteria:

  • Be an active volunteer in the York community for a minimum of 6 years since graduating from a Leadership York program.

  • Hold a leadership role with a nonprofit or elected/appointed position on which they have served at least one term.

  • Making a visible impact in the York community through dedicated community service.

*Note: Volunteer, community, and board service that extends outside of the individual’s specific career carries more weight in the selection process.

To confirm if someone went through our programs, please review the list of alumni: People — Leadership York.

*Current LY Board of Directors and Staff are not eligible.
