July 2025:

  • Reed Gunderson (LTP 15, MY 17): Recently named as one of the 2025/2026 Board of Directors for the Children's Home of York.

  • Natalie Williams (MY 18, NLA 23), Lindy Hitzel (AOB 23), & Tom Kaizer (LTP 18): Recently announced as new members of the 2025/2026 Executive Committe for the Children's Home of York.

  • Donna Roper (EC 13): Named as a 2025 Circle of Excellence Honoree by the Central Penn Business Journal.

  • Joe Stein (MY 25), Sean Kenny (LTP 05, NLA 09, MY 11 and 12), and Teresa Gregory (EC 10): Named to the Rotary Club of York Board of Directors.

  • Wilda Reahm-Alessi (LTP 09, MY 15): Named President of the Rotary Club of York.

  • Joy Martin (LTP 23): Named President of the Rotary Club of Red Lion/Dallastown Area.

August 2025:

  • Caitlin Steel (MY 22): Recently accepted a position with the County of York as the new Director of Finance for Human Services.  

  • Deborah Best (AOB 23): Transitioned to a new role within United Way of York County as the Annual Giving Manager and was elected to the Board of Education for Keystone Christian Academy – York. 

  • Zak Wolpert (MY 22): Recently finished his term as President of the Board of Directors for Bell Socialization Services.

  • Scott Thomassy (LTP 06): Announced as new President of Bell Socialization Services' Board of Directors.

September 2025:

  • Alexa Bejaran (LTP 23) and Chawna Griffith-Myers (NLA 25) were recently appointed to the Board of Directors at the YWCA York!

  • Matt Miller (LDS 10), Penn State alumnus, and elementary school teacher in Central York School District was named Pennsylvania's Distinguished Principal for 2025 by the Pennsylvania Principal's Association.

  • Megan Kreiser (EC 24) was appointed Secretary of the Board at Typical Life Corporation.

  • The following alumni were named to the Forty Under 40 List by the Central Penn Business Journal: Michael Andrews (LTP 23), Dan Boyle (LTP 19, MY 23, BOD 20-Current), Laura O'Grady (LTP 12, MY 22).

October 2025:

  • Catherine Roque (LTP 19, Current LY Board), former LY Board President, secured a racial equity grant through the York County Community Foundation. This funding will support six York County individuals in the Leadership Training Program over the next three years. Read more here!

The Mentorship York Class of 2025 recently had the opportunity to pay it forward in a meaningful way! The cohort was entrusted with a donation to award to a nonprofit creating lasting impact in our community. After a cohort vote, Katie Mahoney presented the check on behalf of the class to the YWCA Junior Board in support of the Adopt A Family program, helping families receiving YWCA York services experience a brighter holiday season. ✨ We are proud to see our leaders turn mentorship into action and make a difference where it matters most.

With help from incredible community leaders and our partners at the York County Community Foundation, students will award $20,000 to local organizations focused on reducing barriers to sustainable employment in York County.
