Jean A. Jameson was a leader in advancing the common good through civic involvement, most recently with the United Way of York County and Leadership York. Jean had strength of character, vision, and a no-nonsense focus. She had high expectations of herself and others, and led Leadership York’s resurgence in the early 2000’s.

Jean passed away on December 7, 2006. She is missed by her friends and colleagues who care about making York County a better place. Thanks to several generous donors, the Jean A. Jameson Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up at the York County Community Foundation to honor Jean and her contributions to the community.
