Carolyn Warman
Executive Director
Carolyn has worked in various nonprofit organizations in York County since 1978. For fourteen years she taught parenting classes as well as developing and growing various programs for new parents at Family-Child Resources. She oversaw child care resource and referral services at Child Care Consultants, Inc. before joining Leadership York in 2000.
Community Leadership:
Carolyn has served on numerous committees and boards starting in her teen years. Leadership roles have included The Junior League of York (Treasurer, various committee chairs & President), Focus On Our Future (Advisory Board & Committee Chair), St. John's Episcopal Church (vestry, Nominating Chair and Senior Warden), and the Child Abuse Council of York County (founding member & President). She currently serves on the boards of Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and Rotary Club of York. She is the winner of the Community Leadership Association’s 2008 Preceptor Award. Preceptor Award winners are recognized for their outstanding communication skills, creativity, trusteeship, strong principles and dedication to the concept of strengthening and transforming communities.
Education:
Carolyn holds a B.A. degree from Gettysburg College and graduated from the Leadership Training Program in 1985. She completed BoardSource's consultant training on effective governance and Harvard Business School's Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management course.
David Mason, Ed.D.
Program Coordinator, Leadership For Diverse Schools
David joined the staff team at Leadership York in May, 2006. He has over 37 years experience in the education field and most recently served as Supervisor of Curriculum of the School District of the City of York. David has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Kutztown University, and a Doctorate in Education from Temple University, as well as, a Masters of Educational Administration from Shippensburg University.
Kristine Marino
FLY Program Coordinator
Kristine Marino joins Leadership York as the new FLY Program Coordinator. She holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction degree from Loyola College. Kris was an 8th grade English teacher at York Suburban Middle School for several years and has facilitated student activities and programs such as the York Suburban PRIDE (anti-bullying) program. Kris is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Training Program and volunteers with York Suburban Communities That Care, Catholic Harvest Food Pantry and York Youth Soccer League.
Cindy Hoke
Leadership Training Program Coordinator
Cindy Hoke joins Leadership York as the new Leadership Training Program Coordinator. She has a BA degree from York College and 12 Master of Education credits in Training and Development from Penn State University as well as a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate. Cindy was a Training Specialist at Honeywell International for 15 years and brings facilitation and teambuilding experience to the position. She is a founding member and volunteer for Appalachian Air Canines, a local dog Frisbee club.
Bonnie Lepson
FLY Program Assistant
Bonnie Lepson joins Leadership York in the newly created position of Future Leaders Program Assistant. In this role, she will be assisting Kris Marino with the 38 high school students and their leadership development. Bonnie has a Masters of Science degree from West Virginia University and has been a substitute teacher for Red Lion Area and Central York School districts for many years. She also has been a YAIAA Field Hockey Official for 18 years and has served on the following boards: Dallastown Area School District, York County High School, and Dallastown Communities That Care. Other community activities include York County Junior Miss and Future Leaders of York mentor
